i got here from the link on the homepage in recent posts. try pulling out the speakers, if you see a large blob on solder on either side, the one on the left is your positive. i am not like crazy familiar with the go, but that should work. Note* that may or may not make the leds sound reactive

but to get to the speakers i would need to open up the whole thing. is there a way to put in led's by just taking off the back plate?

If your going to do something why not do it properly and take the whole PSP apart.

Soldering to the speakers will make them sound reactive, the volume is relevant to the voltage. Seeing how the go is assembled, you can't install the speakers without taking the whole thing apart.

Are you looking to do something like this?

If so yes you have to pull out the motherboard at least so you can get to some power points. That is one that I just finished a few days ago

there is the teardown tut of the go.....56k warning there are large highdef pics there give it time to load depending on your internet speed.

to get to the back plate you must disasemble the psp. where you go from there is up to you.

KrInEn if you get a chance, it would be nice if you could take my pic of the mobo and mark where you took your power from. I did not prob the go, I took it apart, put it back together and it has been sitting on my desk ever since.

Pink (salmon) color on the one side of the cap is + and the red on the 3rd leg of the wifi switch is your ground. The two blue points you want to use a piece of wire and bridge them. This will cause Wifi to be on at all times, then you can control the LEDs with the wifi switch.

I used 0603 SMD LED's. I usually get them from niktronixonline.com

if i don't solder the blue together then the led's will be on when the wifi is off and off when the wifi is on. am i right? i think id want the option to turn the wifi off because i keep the bluetooth on because i like to use a dualshock 3 for some games.

if you turn the bluetooth on in the settings then it corresponds to the wifi switch aswell. but i guess i could just use the settings to turn it on and off rather than using the switch as a crutch. I can't rly tell what part the pink/salmon color is pointing at.
