Okay, so I found this guy on se7ensins, and he is a trusted member with tons of posts and everything. And We weorked out a trade that I would send him my ipod touch for a jtag console, so we would ship at the same time with tracking. So i SHipped it later that day, and when I imed him, he said they were closed( which makes sense because he is in the uk and it was somewhat late) so i told him to ship it the next day asap. When he got back, i asked him for the tracking number and he swore he lost the receipt or left it at the post office, and promised he would get it first thing today. He said he would text me the tracking number, which hasnt happend yet, and its what? 5:00 over there now? THe only problem is I cant get to a post office too request them to reurn my item.

WHAT DO I DO?
Should I wait, and find out what happens?

Less than a week. Wait a few days, if you don't have the number by then have the package sent back to you. If you cannot get it back, and you do not receive a console, seek legal advice.

Any news from the guy? Doubt it would be a true tracked service from the post office anyway, Airsure and International Signed for are both proof of delivery rather than tracked. Tracked services are pretty expensive over here.

Think it's as I said earlier, RM pretty much offer a couple of proof of delivery options, they give you numbers that are only of real use when an item has been delivered. What is the number to search? the link just gives me the RM website

I think you should wait. It happened the same to me. Once i bought a xbox controller to one guy when i asked for the tracking number he said me that it was in his job. He never gave me it but the controller get home.

wait about 1-2 weeks before you call the cops.... but do something in the meantime.... you dnt wanna call the police then have the xbox come in the mail a couple days later you know? give it time before you call the cops. 1-2 weeks after is should have arrived at your house call the police lol

Can be two weeks tops from UK to US or Vice Versa given the distance and depending on type of postage. Recorded mail does not necessarily mean it will arrive fast.

With all the aim chats, get a paper copy now, store it on a hd, and ask for a photograph of the reciept and the tracking number, with proof that it is him.

In future only trade with friends that you meet often and trust (not online) or use services like eBay and the like if dealing with those you do not know.

The cops won't be able to do much, and I doubt Interpol will listen, so find a lawyer or attorney or whatever and talk to them for advice.
