So I just got the DROID 2...

I had to get another phone the other day after my Crapberry storm kicked the bucket and I got none other than the DROID 2. I'm going to do a proper hands on but I gotta say this is pretty freakin sweet! A few of my friends have droids while some others have iphones and I can defiantly see why some people are making the switch to android! I like just how customizable it is without the need to hack it. But I'm curios to know, which do you guys prefer? Android or Iphone? Or something comepletly different?

I will never go to a non-android phone again. Android is hands down the best OS that's out there, for numerous reasons

I'm got an HTC Incredible running SkyRaider 2.5.2 (based on the HTC 2.2 FRF91 kernel) and I have to say, I've never seen a smart phone run this *takes glasses off* Incredible. YEEEAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Going on Sunday to hopefully get a Droid 2 as well, they look so much better then the original droid and less flimsy. It'll be my first ever internet based phone so I can't wait!

I ended up getting my droid yesterday and this my first ever smartphone and I have to say...I'm in love. Although I think they could have done a better job with the camera.

well having used spriche's phone a bit, i have to say i like it, but i still prefer the iPhone... its just smoother.

Well if your concerned with horsepower fear not. The droid 2 has all the same power the x does but in a smaller package. I also love the keyboard on the droid 2. If its between the x and the 2 I recommend the 2. I really wanted the incredible but after using the keyboard on here I think im good where im at. Im going to have more in depth impressions in my review which should hopefully be up on thursday.

sorry for bumping a somewhat old thread but i got my droid 2 yesterday so at least its relevant. after getting used to how everything is layed out i really love this phone, even the touch screen keyboard.

anyone have apps/tweaks they recommend? also will someone explain rooting to me? i keep hearing it thrown around but i'm new to the android scene.
