Seeing Double? The Google Chrome Notebook
« on: December 10, 2010, 06:32:37 PM »
We all know the Black MacBook that Apple shipped back in 2007 well it seems it has an identical brother that appears to have been separated at birth known as Chrome Notebook.  Now although they appear to be twins at first glance they are very much individuals.

MacBook: 5.25in x 8.5in.
Chrome notebook: 4.5in x 7.5in.

Both systems touch pads are the same size, however the MacBook did not include the touch pad as a button where the Chrome notebook does. The Chrome book has also done away with the optical drive, Ethernet port, and all the USBs besides one of them. They even got rid of all those annoying caps lock and function keys. It also sports a nifty SD card slot.

Now besides just the physical appearance of these two machines differences do exist. Obviously the MacBook utilized the OS X operating system and the new Chrome Book uses Google’s new Chrome OS which is new and in testing.

When it is available you can expect to pick up this shiny new toy for $300 - $400 USD
