This mite be old to most people here but for those that don't know about the xi3 here is some stuff for you to look at

One of the most interesting conecepts I've seen ina long time for "hive" based computing. Given the right rollout, this could save a company thousands a year. Not only from the fact that when rolled out properly it will end up costing only about $325-350 per seat [per client]. Not to mention the savings on energy, the main unit alone only uses about 20w of power and the "zero units" only consume 1w.....holy christ thats low power.




Its dimension is just 101.6 x 92.8 x 92.8mm.

series includes three types including different processors: AMD Athlon 64 2000+ (1GHz, single core, 1MB L2 cache), 3400e (1.8GHz, dual core, 1MB L2 cache), and 4200+ (2.2GHz, dual core, 1MB L2 cache). It’s a little pity that Xi3 didn’t select more advanced AM2+ or AM3 socket, but the AM 2 socket.

Xi3 Modular Computer comes with embedded DDR2 RAM (1GB, 2GB, or 4GB), integrated graphics along with various interfaces including VGA, DVI, and HDMI (2000+ not included), and DVI. Other parts also include network adapter, two eSATA ports, 6 USB ports, and more.

The guy on the Hak5 site said that you can have computers hooked up through USB if you wanted to play games through LAN... its the next alternative to ethernet. Also he was talking about the USB ports can completely power the other computers I think that's interesting.

Technically yes, I saw hacks on how to put windows on a android device but only windows 98, but in reality ur rite, because win98 is old. I guess its, cool having a small computer.
technology is advancing so quick we are a lucky generation because we are watching the 21 century industrial revolution from our own eyes, but seriously in 8yrs time we will be laughing as it becomes the standard computer size.

They could have made it even better if they weren't trying to minimize cost and energy consumption. Just look at the NGP, quad core CPU and GPU. Today's technology.. outstanding..
