broken pad for rumble

i was prepping my controller for final rapid fire that i will b installing later tonight, and i broke the left contact of the left rumble. Please tell me this is the ground? if not im gonna scream like a little girl..

I finished installing the kit last night and everything works except for the programming part. when i click, send config, it says programming failed. i read the manual, and it said that u can use a usb to serial converter thingy. would this make b better for it. Im pretty sure i installed it right too.

is this one of hazers final rapidfire kits?

try switching rx and tx lines over?

also what serial port are you using?

and yes that adapter should work?

3. not sure which port im using... theres only 1 ports that will fit with the cable.

for the port i mean,

is it on a laptop or desktop?

on the motherboard? PCI slot? or what?

ok have you checked the com port with the test button?

is the controller on when you try and program it?

if its neither of these then i say get the usb adapter, its probably not working because a standard serial port uses -12v and 12v whereas the PIC in the controller can only provide 0v and 3v because its powered by batteries, but a usb one should work.

ill buy the adapter i guess, i just switched the tx and rx wires and no luck
