Grow :censored:ing up? :censored:ing up what? See you can't even :censored:ing talk right.

Second of all i'm mature as hell for my age, unlike you 'chap'. I made a good :censored:ing suggestion, and you criticize by saying not everyone wants to sand and all that bull:censored:. Okay? Not everyone wants to sand? Don't be :censored:ing ass hurt because I had a few good ideas and you didn't. I wasn't being :censored:y just trying to help someone in need.

THIRD OF ALL. As soon as I said why are you criticizing me? You :censored:ing gave me 4 bad posts. Because you're an immature little brat. You're seven years older than me, and act like you're in middle school. Then after that, every day I logged in a continued to see my post count go down. I was at two. Now I'm at :censored:ing 11. 9 of those were you.

I NEVER double post, that was the first time that I have ever done it. I've been a part of this forum for three years, I'm pretty sure I know what "double posting" is.

My advice:
you're :censored:ing older than me. act like it. take the plug out of your butt and stop putting my post count down. And you sig and quotes about me? "don't take the stupid help, just take the right way", "neo that stupid kid" all that :censored:? :censored:ing immature.

Have a nice day :censored:etop.

ye i just had to get used to it but the feeling is a lot better already, i will now drill out the middle and fill it with hot glue. i also just got my multimeter back and both of my controllers have a voltage of 2.8 V running on them. on every power point thingy. kinda weird since everybody else has 3.2 or 3.7 but ye, perhaps cuz its a european one.

but this means i wont even be needing resistors since 3.3 will fit perfectly on 2.8 and so does 3.6 so ye thats really nice. but anyone here with the clear buttons with leds behind it? cuz i dont really have an idea of where to put the leds. just on the sides of them or really inside them?

thanks

Tomas

yeah if you put some thin paper on the back of the button or sand the plastic of the led until it looks frosted, it will diffuse the light more and make it look less bright

on topic as none have been done on the ps3 controller try on that thread i gave you on my first reply on the button leds or you could a wire ring and put 4 smd's on it and put it around the buttons to light them up saving drilling the buttons.

I like the ring of leds idea. you can also make a notch in the controller case where the buttons are. Just like the large guide notches that are already there. just hot glue a 3mm or smd if you can, right into the notch.
Brightness problem, resistor, or sanding button or sanding led or both or all 3. remember if you frost buttons you'll probly want to frost any other clear parts to match. Don't worry if you don't like how something looks frosted a dremel with a polisher on it can bring right back clear again.
comparison of frosted part and polished . On the polished part i only polished the top not the sides. This part is for the sharpshooter fire rate switch.

so the right one is frosted?? cuz it looks awesome, definetly want that. and btw here is another pic of my led in the ps button but as you can see it doesnt spread the light.... anyone has a solution for that or you think sanding the led will also spread light more???

(ps. i just got my white controller here and it looks sick, cant wait for it to start modding it)

sanding the led or the bottom of the button will diffuse the light. If your not satisfied with one try them both, if your still not satisfied sand the whole button. Start by sanding the led.

You don't have to put the led in the button, you can just light the side of the button. Especially if the button  is frosted. but if you want to go ahead , but your deff going to want to frost the buttons to diffuse the led. note on led buttons, make sure you keep the depth the same so your button function propper.

well i got the m in properly now and i flattened it with hot glue so i think that will be fine.... but this means i only want 2 sets of those buttons instead of 3. since it takes alot of time and the result is average.  or did you start pouring already?

As per the request of TomasR, I will no longer discuss this matter. Only tips from now on ;)

so i finally managed to get my controller back to gether with some leds in it, not sure if im still gonna do the thumbsticks adn all that because i kinda messup up the wiring so the controller is like almost exploding of all the wires in it but ye..... probably gonna be a pain in the ass if i need to put it back together again but im quite happy with the result. just kinda sucks i couldnt really get the rumblers back in but ye... this was more of a prototype for me and im probably gonna sell this one so ye we'll see.

edit: so i connected it and everything worked fine so i was going to play some bf bc2 and wehn i was in the game my screen went up.... and i coudnt get it down anymore: the right stick gives a signal that im pushing it upwards..... i havent opened it yet since it sucks to get everything back together but ye....

and now i discovered that it wont connect when its wireless..... really strange but ye, i will take it apart again and see whats wrong

i also found out that the voltage of my controller dropped from 2.8 to 2.4.... can this be the problem of the wireless and thumbstick thing????

the voltage drops gradually as the battery discharges.

the other problems are likely to do with shorts, try re-wiring it but a bit tidier (you mentioned it was a bit of a mess)

so i redid all the wiring and its alot better now, it didnt solve the problem of pointing up all the time but after blowing into the sensor thingy and removing all the extra solder that was on it it was fixed. but now i have a different problem, it wont turn back on ....  but ye, i will take it apart again tomorrow i think and see what i can do.

i also want to put rapid fire in all of my controllers but anyone has a suggestion of what chip i need to use wich is easy to install and not too difficult to use?

and if my voltage drops to 2.4 after 5 leds is it smart to put another 3/5 in it????

if it won't turn on, you need to make sure that the board is pressing down against the "skeleton" properly.. if it doesn't, you usually can't get the controller to turn on, make sure everything is wired neatly so it all fits together properly.
