LEAKS EVERYWHERE
« on: May 16, 2011, 03:59:54 PM »

In case you have not noticed some has had some trouble recently, and although the PSN network is back up and running, the PSN Store is still down with no confirmed date of it being up again. But if you have a PS3 i have good news for you when it does come back up, and is you have a PSP as well I have even better news.

What i speak of is of course Sony's "Welcome back package" which is what all PSN users will receive when the PSN Store comes back online, the leak first appeared on the European PlayStation Blog's RSS feed, and later confirmed by the American PlayStation Blog, it looks to be extremely generous.

Heres what to expect:

Gamers can select two of the five following PlayStation 3 games:

Dead Nation
Infamous
LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust HD
WipeOut HD + Fury
Those with PSPs can also cop two of four following PSP games:

LittleBigPlanet PSP
ModNation Racers PSP
Pursuit Force
Killzone Liberation
Additionally, the PlayStation faithful can look forward to the following:

"A selection of 'On Us' rental movie titles" for use on a single weekend. The weekend in question and the titles available have yet to be determined.
Non-PlayStation Plus subscribers get 30 free days of PlayStation Plus.
Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers get 60 free days of PlayStation Plus.

you could but you'd have to use a different system cuz the new security thing doesn't allow you to have different accounts on the same hardware.

Explain that again CreativeMindMedias, cause it sounds like you're saying...

No more than 1 account per PS3.

I don't buy that for a split second - wanna source a reference on that one?

Never said it was true, I just heard that they may be limiting it to 1 account per system. Which sucks cuz usually my friends download stuff off of my account from their systems and it is perfectly legal to do.

So maybe Sony doesn't want people to do that anymore.

Gonna just have to wait until the welcome back package comes in and find out. Most near everything is speculation at this point until it is released, and as I said in another thread - nobody has yet to decompile and let us know what all 3.61 entails at all yet.

I don't think they'd be able to only allow 1 account to access services per console - and if they did, there would be some major issues with multi account consoles - each with their own previous individually purchased contents.

thats easily solved though. They would limit the consoles to one account but then let them have seperte profiles. It would be simalar as to what they do on multi line cellphone contracts. Its all the same account but has seperate user profiles. That seems like the simplest way to achieve the "1 console  = 1 account" idea. It would also result in less accounts for them to monitor.
