2xbox 360s with no drive

I was looking for what spare xboxs i have and i saw 2 and tested them. They both work fine but have no dvd drive is there a way i can get the dvd key from the mobo? Then i can get 2 drives and then 2 fully working xboxs or should i just use them as dvd players

You can get the DVD key from the motherboard is you use the reset glitch hack.  When you load Xell from the glitch it will give you the DVD key.  The problem is if you want the xbox to ever be safe to go on Xbox live again you would need to know what original drive the box had in it so you can replace it with the same drive.  You could just put another drive in there with the DVD key inserted, but it would be quickly detected and banned if you signed on to Xbox live.

First magic_man is correct,2nd of all , they have to be a zephyr , Falcon or jasper or newer mobo. also you want to make sure the dash board is 13599 or 13604 before you start the RGH Reset glitch hack. dont make the mistake that i did and try to do it with a lower dashboard I found out the hard way. 

any other questions just ask i will help you along the way , proximate time to do a reset giitch hack i would say at the longest 1 1/2 to 2 hours

you can use the new cool runner chip alot more people had more success with that, also can be done with a cmod chip there is links i posted on AM.

no you need to check by the power plug to tell what board you have

Can you use the RGH on XBL?

No, but you could use the RGH to recover the DVD key then disconnect it, and assuming you knew which drive the xbox originally had, you could insert the key into a factory firmware and flash the drive with it.  That should in theory make it live safe (never 100% when you flash anything, but having the correct drive version, an original firmware, and the correct DVD key it should be safe).
