Xbox 360 CG1 controller rapid fire mod help?
« on: December 19, 2012, 05:33:39 PM »
I modded my old CG1 controller a few years back with a button and 555 chip, it worked, now it doesn't im assuming because all of the updates and what not. I know there is the simple intensa fire mod and all, but i dont want a pointless button in the bottom of my controller or a big hole there, how can i update the mod to work with the button and it work?

Get another chip to put in place maybe? You may have to re wire it also.

Well find a good place to buy another. I would suggest here if the shop was open. I may get in trouble but diablocontrollers has some nice cheap kits.

You shouldn't, the shop here has been closed forever, ever since i bought mine from here i would check back to view products every few months, every time its been closed.

I use the same type that i use for the guide, just order extra ones and dremel out the button and cut a litle slit in the side for the wires and stick the led in the button and feed the wire through the slit, then fill it with hot glue works perfect for me! :)

You can use 5mm, 3mm or the SMD ones like on the ring of light. All work fine.

The acidmods shop just closed about a month ago. It has been open for years. I do not know why you would say such a thing, but you are wrong and possibly thinking of some other mod shop.

The acidmods shop never sold 555 kits. We made the tut, and the 555 can be purchased at any radio shack. but is obsolete.

If you want rapid fire on the cg1 go to our opensource area and build it yourself.

I checked back every couple of months and i either couldn't get to it, or it was closed or some other reason, im not dissing your shop or anything like that, just telling my experience, im pretty sure i got it from here and its a 555 chip, but i could be wrong, and if its not then i don't know. It came in a little see through plastic square box, it had the wire, solder, a chip and a button in it. I could have swore i got it from your shop, but my mistake.

And what is opensource area, im new to the forums.

that was a programed 12F683 a 555 would have two capasitors, and handful of resistors and a pot.

Opensource = free codes
