that is not a fix. you have trashed the X button. that wire is not going to work well. you need to repair the controller, not bootleg it.

look at this pic, see my black line I drew, thats what you need to do in order to fix this permanently.

I disagree with Matt. I think that is AWESOME!!!

Very creative.

*Aside: Matt, you need to be very careful around people that are this resourceful. These are the same kinds of guys that you hear about in prison killing someone with half a coffee filter and some peanut butter.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or actually commending me on my "afro-engineering"

Yeah, I know that what i did isn't the correct way to do this, I just wanted to be able to have the controller playable. After 4 days of fighting with it, having to completely restart twice... i just wanted to play some battlefield. Either way, thanks for showing me how to get it fixed properly. doesn't seem to be a big deal to get it running. Besides, i joined the forum to learn how to do this crap, just rigging something isn't how i want all my remotes to turn out. lol

No, I think it's pretty great. I'd never do it for a customer, but for my own stuff that's about what I would do.
