JDM-055 x 2 - BRAND NEW - not charging

Hi folks,
 hopefully a problem you folks know well.

Job lot of faulty controllers.

2 of them - REALLY MINT brand new, both flash as if charging, but no power goes to battery.
Swap battery out for a charged one...they will flash blue, sync, play fine until battery dead.

 not very skilled, so in simple terms....what do you think ??

Get a charging dock and see if they will charge up that way. If so, then the PMIC is bad and needs replaced.

Could maybe swap a working chip if skills allow, definitely got a few dead boards.
Any way to test one with just multimeter,  and battery maybe ?

NOTE : annoying sub question...replacement joystick for xbox and ds4. Had a bagfull for years, great quality.10k from memory, maybe wrong...nicely centered equaled full range of movement...not way too hypersensitive or mapped out
side of controller test software
tried others since....much meh..

ok...update...


controller 1 - doesn't charge from usb or dock - plays great from a precharged battery if I switch one in though.

controller 2 - charges from the dock, works fine then. Like I said, no usb charge, but as with controller 1, usb fine for gamepad test software and sync to console etc.


what chips do I need for each please ?
I might order from Aliexpress, links please....or risk grabbing from a donor boad, if I know they work ok.

any help much appreciated, just doing it for the fun/education/save the controllers
