Unscrewing DS Lite
« on: December 29, 2007, 01:43:53 PM »
I'm trying to open up my DSL for a case swap but it feels like my tri wing screw driver is too big.  The bit isn't catching the head of the screw and it's just rounding off my screws.  What am I doing wrong/

You need to file down the screwdirver a bit
However today I was brutally raped by a door handle, and none of my friends helped me up off the floor after ten minutes, instead they all teabaged me, all 10 of them...

Can you define "a bit" and file down how so?

Here is a picture of the tip can you please mark out how much I should file it down?

I'm gonna laugh if it's actually the fact that he's using a regular screwdriver, since I have BOTH of those and the one to the left is the regular screwdriver and the one to the right is the Trigram Screwdriver which should work since I have that same red one.

If you go them exact same ones in that picture they should work perfect I ordered 4 more sets of them because they are my favorite triwing screw driver because they fit the ds screws so perfect and I have tried over 7 other ones and they are the best.

The one on the right.

They're both tri-wing screwdrivers, just in different sizes.

Hmm.. well how about taking a picture for us to see? that one is obviously off a site, so I can't really tell much from the angle of those screwdrivers. But I still think the smaller one is the regular screwdriver.

I'm going to try something out first.  Once I get over my wicked cold I'm going over to one of my friends who has a freaking huge @ss collection of triwing screwdrivers (for cell phones as well) and I'm going through the whole collection to find the perfect *one* that works without filing.

Then I'll take a picture and compare it to the one I was sent with my ghost kit.
