I just did this mod yesterday from 4:30 to around 12:00. It took me forever to fix all the shorts. Wrap the LM386 chip in electric tape. Put electric tape over all the wires showing. Make sure the wire isnt touching the LCD cage and metal thing under motherboard and make sure u soldered everthing correctly and check if any wires disconnected by itself.

I have tested all my fuse : power, usb, LCD and they are not blown

so I think I must change my motherboard

No, make sure none of the wires are exposed, isolate your speakers (srsly, happened for me that one of them shorted when the LCD cage was on) and make sure there isn't too much pressure on the wires. Also insert your Battery, and get really close to your PSP, if you hear a clicking noise, it's a short.

Have no shame in being kindly and gentle, but if the time comes in the time of your life to kill, kill and have no regret. In the time of your life, live so that, in that wonderous time you shall not add to the misery and sorrow of the world, but shall smile to the infinite delight and mystery of it.

How do you bright a fuse? And what does bridging it mean/do
having a higher post count doesn't earn respect in the forums, quality posts do.

thanks,

smoke comes from the lm386 if any wires or pins cross but the same goes for if you bridge a fuse then any wires cross, which is not a good thing........it may look cool but its not a sight worth 100$
and i22foosh you are really starting to get on ppls nerves with ur constant stupid spamming, check the wiki and shutup,it was also explained twice in this thread, stop spamming or you will get banned

so it still dosent work even after you removed the mod? Closing the psp likely put pressure on somthing and caused the short. I would try getting a new powerboard first. They are much cheaper then motherboards and if it still dosent work then you have an xtra powerboard.
Any Questions? Please Contact Me: rceckspurt13@gmail.com

you could have static-zapped the CPU.  if this happened, you will need to get a new mobo, but you most likely shocked one of the smaller, cheaper parts that the power goes through.
