Hi. I was just wondering how thick is the 30AWG kynar wire in mm? I wanted to buy it in an elektro shop but im in europe and it doesnt say the thickness in AWG. The thinnest one i saw had a thickness of 0,1mm, is that too thick? Any pictures of the wire INSIDE a psp would be great because i have no idea what thickness i have to look for. THx

it is too small,..

i think it is around 0.2 mm

The Red is 100% definitely magnet wrap

The Orange is 30 gauge kynar wire

How do i know? Because i happen to have seen that image before and done the install that it is guiding towards but you are not allowed to discuss those on acid mods, anyway a spool of magnet wrap is provided with "that thing"

Magnet Wrap doesn't have a gauge system and it comes in different diameters, measured in mm, i use 0.2mm i know *FuFa uses 0.1mm the stuff that comes with "that thing" is 0.2mm etc

your confused

the red has a plastic insulation, making it not magnet wire. magnet wire use for wrapping has an enamel insulation.

magnet (notice the shiny enamel unlike the flat plastic in the other photo)

Trust me man its magnet

Its just the way the photo was taken, they ship it with either a clear or translucent red shiny enamel

i doubt they would ship kynar with one and magnet wire with an other one, its just different color, but might be not i am just a noob and ur the modder

Yes, that's the right size. Kynar = 30awg (0.25mm)

the orange in that photo is actually 24 guage kynar

Because they ONLY provide magnet wrap with that modchip, ONLY provide it, period

It's just the photo's appearance, i could take heaps of photo's like that, that would make magnet look just like that

This isn't a fight, its a light debate at worst, we are both just trying to see what kind of wire it is

oh i agree for the second image, but for the first its debatable, the wire is not see through(plastic coating) and look at ware it is striped. magnet wire dose not strip that well.

well yeah i admit its debatable but i received two spools of wire by accident with it, i got a red spool and clear, both were definitely magnet wrap

and yeah it doesn't strip well IF you use tools

but you can strip it and tin at the same time with your soldering iron, it burns off the coating and just wipe it off on the sponge or whatever you use for cleaning your tip

Mann i just walk up in radioshack and ask for kynar and they gave me something called wrapping wire it works though and its real thin
