k found it, do i just put solder over it without wire connected to the ends, or do i need to connect wire to both ends? and we tried using a flat screwdriver to bridge them and it worked!!!! the screen came on!!!! just need to go buy some solder tomorrow and if i need cables ill buy them. Oh and does anyone know if dents in back of the LCD (due to taking it out) will have an effect on it, we already got the scrren to come up. i just want to know if we just drop some solder over the damn thing, or do i need to solder wire to each end? thnx for ur help psp339 u have come through for me man.

Get some rosin core solder(.050 diameter).
Take a look at these resistors. http://www.opamp-electronics.com/~opamp/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1086

sorry for double posting but b4 i go to get the stuff at radioshack, how sure are u guys the bridging the fuse will work, i already got signs of it being the fuse cuz we wanted to test it out, so we used a flat screwdriver to bridge them for a moment and the backlight came back on
