I'd rather live in us, much cheaper propertie, cheaper goods, more things there, better opportunity, etc. More people (alot more filipinos so i might fit in for once!!!) and some other reasons (law and things, law in uk is stupid)

Well for one thing thats just sterotyping.  The only one with large gas guzzling cars are the people who are rich/want to show off.  I got a little 4x4 thats has very little power and the only reason it gets such a :censored:ty gas consumption rate is because it is old.  I'm sorry but none of those litttle crappy fuel efficient cars would work in an area like mine... to much snow and to many hills...

you really need to be here to understand how the people think... its the same as if I based all my opnions off of things that may or may not be true but no experience to back it up.  For example in Deuce Bigalow European Gigolo, everyone in the part of Europe he is in is interested in Man-:censored:s and drugs... how would you like it if thats how I thought of those people if that was my only knowledge of them...

Meh trust me living in the US ain't any better. The rates here for HOUSES are crazy, like 2/2 for 500,000. Although I live in Florida, and sh*t here is getting expensive, it feels rediculous. The only way we adjust to this is by raising minimum raise and that's pretty much it. It barely even helps. My dad is a truck driver while my mom cleans houses. They lived here for like 30 years. You'd think they get better jobs, but due to their lack of english, and living everything behind(including any proof that they had WAY better jobs in Cuba). So basically we are living off of paychecks, my mom having to use so many coupons, every store already knows her. My dad keeps going to work, but then at some points he has to go back home, because there IS NO WORK for anybody to do, and outta the list to pick trailers, he's number 4. So yeah, it might just be us, but stuff here ain't getting cheaper, and knowing the power of the Euro, I'd probably head over to the UK.

My house with all the land is worth ~1.25 million and we paid less than 400k for it (doing stuff on our own FTW)

if your smart and can manage your money this so called "recession" isn't a big deal. ware people got in to trouble was taking out loans they couldn't afford to buy houses they couldn't afford. lots of people were trying to live beyond there means and it came back and bit them.

there is a saying that explains why you hear what you hear "if it bleeds, it leads" no news outlet is going to air a story about how wonderful things are. thats why you in my opinion should not form your opinions on what the media says. plus they also tend to be bias or have there own agenda when they do a story.

they took out Arm loans, meaning the interest rate was not fixed. they were hoping that would continue to go down, but they went up, so payments became more than they could afford for the houses they couldn't afford in the first place. they gambled on the market and it kicked there A$$
