Shoffman don't double or triple post it's really annoying and a waste of space...just use the modify button on the right side of your post...

Please no one use this file for monitary gain we offer free info for our members...

Has anyone tried using this hex code and setup? I tried it, but the tact switches did not work so if anyone can provide any insight to if this hex works and how they set it up I would appreciate it.

I have the PIC16F628A and I read that we don't need a crystal with this one, but now. how do I go about putting this chip in my controller?
I mean, what do I solder to what? I just have to solder the trigger then the resistor to the opposite side like an 8 pin? I'm a bit confused without pictures or diagrams.

Hackeruk ... I live in the UK and i brought my pre-installed PIC chip from wiredinput... It cost me £7 plus P+P and i got it in a week - I think it would be easier to buy your chips from there, if you download the HEX  it will have a 1000 use limit.

i dont know why the HEX code that you dowload for free has a 1000 use limit, maybe because it encourages you to buy the chip for a small amount from the shop - To support AM and King_mikes work ? :dntknw:

OK well i have a 555CN Timer IC (8-pin) from radio shack and i was wondering if I (A) need to program this to rapid fire mod on my CG 360 controller and (B) if this is even capable to work on my 360 controller.
Another question, is there any tutorials on how to program a PIC 555 Timer? (just in case i need to buy a pic 555 timer and if i need to know how to program it)

The 555CN Timer doesnt need to be programmed. I think there is a tut for the 555 timer here you just have to search

I hope this help you
