Any easy way of creating your own Nub Board?

I was just wondering if you could make your own board for the dual nub I've installed the Razor X but I was wondering if you can create your own board I was thinking the other day when I had my extra faceplate if I removed that board and put it in my slim if it would work or do I need to use a Razor X everytime???
