If it's just for gaming dont get the Q6600, even the E8400 may not be the best choice.  I have used both the E7200 and E8500, in the same machine and while the E7200 was able to overclock higher the smaller cache did NOT handicap it at all against the E8500.  Also I still have both processors if your intererested, little dirty but nothing some 90% Isopropyl alchohol can't fix, I also have pleny of sata HD's and DVD rw drives.  Pretty much have a two whole computers, just the motherboards are bad...

Tec, You have some seriuesly awesome ideas, if possible can u get into contact with me or i can contact u over the internet, i have some ideas id like to run by a professional like yourself. Also mattzani What i did was to get the soft underglow was i got a 12inch blue cathode and took of the top(cube) and filled that thing to the brink with hot glue and let it dry(make sure its clear hot glue). When dried it is amazingly sweet.

EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Tec, I have an antec Case door(white) that i could send you, its the kind that has a handle on it so you could do something with that. My Question to you is, wouldnt be more pleasing to the eye if the user would not be able to see the inside of ur case from the radiator angle side, How are going to hide all the cables and such, i know you are a clean modder like me who cant stand cables in a place... Let me know what you think.

i thought about custom cuting a sheet of aluminum for the side, but i don't want to have to deal with the paint/anodizing of it. as for cabels, there will be some sevier PSU modding. also a modular PSU will make some things easear, plus i still have a few tricks left

and aZiZ1 check your pm

Hate to be the one to tell you this but they stoped making the 300. They have moved on to the 350. They still have them at xoxide.com or you can try ebay

Hmm, i was never a fan of the 300, it seemed to me that they had shaved down alot of quality.

you should check your PM's

moving on

well i got home from my last work trip to find my acrylic waiting for me. took today off went to a wake for i guy i went to school with, worked a little on the computer and just decompressed a little.

i got the side cut and sanded down nicely. but my jig saw bit in and jumped when i was cutting the spot for the radiator and ended up cracking the acrylic in a few different places. im going to scrap this piece and cut a new one.

on to the pic's

you can see one of the smaller cracks near the screw

>< this makes me want to make a custom case. I got an old dell case that I have removed all the hardware from, but it still all works, I am going to cut a window in it and install a couple fans and an exhuast. As soon as I can get a new dremel blade ima cut the window >< Also if you need some cool idea look up monstermawds or something like that on youtube. They has some great case mod tutorials. They made this fan mount thing on the front of there case that looks awesome and I have never seen anything like it before  :x:

well i rocked out the drive bay side today. but first i started with painting the fan that came with the case and the cap screws im going to be using to hold the acrylic in place.

fan disassembly
(sorry for the crappy pic's they came from a cell phone)

masked off the blades

painted and assembled

and the screws

moving on to the side panel

i am in love with it. it turned out so well i just need to file down the rough edges on the aluminum.

Very nice, I saw this on bit-tech

Also, if possible you should put UV paint (the non conductive kind) on all your motherboard plastic peices, looks very nice with a subtle UV light or even better, black light if you can find one :)
