How to fix a broken usb port?

yea well ive had my psp slim for bout a year now and last month i was putting on some isos wen i accidentally snagged onto the usb cable n  the psp hit the ground hard...well i checked it andi noticed the screen said insert usb when the cable was on it... now my usb port for my psp only works wen i bend the usb cable back a bit.....is there anyway to fix this?

Check if it is still under warranty. If so then get a replacment/fix. If not return back here

i dno, i had the same problem. its only with some usb cables, not all of them. try a different cable before sending it back

theres a usb fuse, I forgot where but You could try to bridge that

I will see If I can find the fuse again on the mobo
However today I was brutally raped by a door handle, and none of my friends helped me up off the floor after ten minutes, instead they all teabaged me, all 10 of them...

yea well i guess my warranty's voided because of 3.77m33 so that options scratched off and also i tried 4 different cables and none of hem worked.  :[

i think u could just put back the original firmware and return it they won't know the difference unless u opened it.

If you send it to sony, It dosnt allways need a receipt

o  sorry didn't know that but yea i found a article talking about some fuse being blown out and me having to "jumper" it and hope it works anyone know what that means?
