i was digging around today for leds and buttons.
i couldnt find any buttons small enough for the wiimote, however i DID find some perfect ones for my classic controller.
the X & Y buttons are from the origional NES controller. and the  A & B are from the SNES controller.
i couldnt get the snes light purple buttons to fit in the x & y spots on the controler faceplate, but they are indented just as the nes so i used those. also i used the dpad from the snes controller.
all of the buttons had to be slightly modified to work. the nes buttons had 2 tabs, now one each.
snes 4 tabs now 3 and the dpad's outer circle are had to be trimmed in order to fit, but once done i slapped it all together and it looks great.
plus i added some shiny green leds for the joysticks.
best of all i didnt do any modifications the the original buttons or the faceplate (no tab removal) so if it needs be i want the originals. i can do it in 5 minutes.

well its 4 am. im bored, dont wanna dig out my camera so here's a crappy cell pic!!!

update: here are a few pics from my camera this time, taken during the day and they still look pretty bright :)
also included is the nunchuck this time.

its a cell picture so the colors are off.
the dpad is a darker gray, ab buttons are a deep purple and xy are red.
the lights are actually green. not like grass green but like a lime/neon green.
the buttons abxy seem smoother than the original. i have always loved the feel.
also im not going to take a picture today but i replaced my nnchucks joystick with a gamecubes c stick.
i like the smaller nub better. idk why but it works better for me :)

that looks pretty neat but you should find a better way of taking pictures instead of using a cellphone

That's pretty original, I like it. Can't say I like the color choice, but I like the concept of the buttons. But...why the C stick for the nunchuk? The color just...doesn't match the rest of the nunchuk. Lol great job though.

i just had to have something to make it unique. i had a thread earlier about an led problem so i figured an old joystick would be good.
i would have used the regular joystick but it was broken where it fits on, and i wanted something more colorful i guess.
and yeah not much color choice. its all made of old parts and personally i like it. eventually i will do a full case mod for my wii that will most likely match my colors etc, however that all depends on me thinking about warranty and getting money. i figure anyway if im going to do a case mod id do everything at once. so that will take a while.
and thanks for all the comments, its good to know what other people think, and how i could possible improve things based on what looks good.

i just have to think about design while im saving up.
