Hello! i'm trying to find some pink 0603 leds for a mates psp. i know they are made but i can't seem to find any. does anyone here know where i could get some?

Yeah i tried that. it redirects you to a page it won't let me order any. not sure why.

There are about 30 websites just use google to search with "0603 pink" led

That way it will only return 0603 pink if you don't it returns all pink leds.

You can then click on translate page.

I know you will find someone to order from.

i had a few of these given to me when i was modding my freinds psp. Not to sure where to buy them though, well safely. You may be able to weaken red ones but im not sure how good that will look.

I tried that with some reds. they still keep a dark red tone when i power them to 1.0v.

The problem i have is that the web site that does have them is in german. i translate it but it still won't allow me to order some. comes up with an error message but i can't read it because it's in german.

I would use UV, but i've just used them for a phat psp. (And the girl won't want them, if only she was easier to deal with.....)

Ok Aphex i believe i foudn the german site ur talking about... but in addition to that igoogle has a translator you can use not translate the whole site but just words u select and place in it...idk if thats to much

I can't belive there is only one web site that sells these leds. i would have quessed there be more demand for them.

I must have been minus a few brain cells.

There is another solution to your problem.

Just buy RGB leds and bias them to pink.

You can find them here:

You would just hook them to 3.3volts and put one resistive potentiometer on each input leg. Adjust the pot
until you get pink light. Measure the pots and that is the resistance for each color of led.

That way you can give her exactly the pink she wants.

You can even give her different colors of pink on different places on her PSP

You can then create any color you want.

Was really stupid not thinking of it before.

You can make colors that are not available.

No they don't come with directions but I will
put that on a list of tutorials to do so
people can play with them.

Nice Idea, I had no idea SMD RGB's existed. Keep in mind if your using these, your gonna need space for 3 resistors instead of 1, and every led will need 4 wires soldered to it. Could become really messy. Other than than, you could have some really awsome color combinations with these.

PLCC -4 leds are the size of two 0603 leds. They are the same length only twice the width.

You can wire them with only two wires.

Let me show you how.

Each resistor is the value you determined that you needed when you mixed your
colors.

The three resistors are wired directly to the led and then all the resistors are
tied together so to the rest of the system you are only using two wires.
