Hi All,

Been looking in here but getting more confuzed.

Have purchased
http://www.xbox-mod.net/xbox_wireless_controller_rapid_fire_mod_chip_faqs.htm

and instruction say to do this

I using one of the OLD matrix, is to points OK for my old matrix or would be best to use this chip on a newer controller (will purchase new one)

how many wires are there and what color are they?

If its EASYER/BETTER to use newer controller I would get one.
As long as its easy enought to do.

Have looked at the picture of boards inhere but getting a little confused

Thanks VERY much for picture and help.

I think I didn't ask questino correctly thou.

Question now is, is the old Matix the same connectings as new one (I thought was different)
Cause from (1st post) guide I can install it on one of the newer controllers if the pin outs are made for that version?

So this is a RF on button mod so there should be no reason for different install between controllers. 

Did it come pre wired?

I think you will be able to use the points that the install guide suggests, however you can check it by solder the yellow to the negative battery post and red to the positive battery post(I know those will work if chip is working)

If that doesn't work you need to use a multi-meter or continuity checker and verify that the button still works but attaching meter to both sides and making sure it makes a connection.

If the battery posts work and want to stop while you are ahead you need to know that chip will be powered even if controller is off so you will have to remove batteries when not in use.  Or let us know it is working and I will point you to power connections that shut off w/ controller

You advise was 100% correct as always..

Was wondering from picture (in middle above-cant link, one with colored cable drawn on it)
Was was the
RED cable for Power or Ground..?
