« on: October 19, 2008, 12:03:49 AM »
Heya acidmodders I ran into a wee problem while modding the right side of the psp with a ps2 analog

done this mod once before with no probs following TDX's tut, trying it again on a powerboard I had lying around and wtf, now its acting as 2 X's and 2 O's. Triangles being a X and [] is being a O any1 know wat on earth I did wrong lol.

Any help apreciated thx people.

did u cut the potention meters ? so it becomes digital and not analog ?

To all of you crying about lag and kicks, remember… when Jesus died, took him 3 days to respawn. Now THAT is lag.

You mean potentiometers right?

You can't have cut the tracks well enough on the pots..either that or you just can't solder to the right points :taunt:

lol, I pretty sure I soldered it right, same as dual nub to /\ []OX and ground. I think I will have another go at cutting em tracks, but still weird.

Edit:

got it working just need to get the /\ []OX around the right way on the analog, will work this out 2moz.

nah im having trouble with one of the pots, X and /\ both go at once when up or down is pressed. Its not going to be removable atm im working on breaking out the psp onto breadboards like Alein, so I can prototype controllers ect. This was just mucking around with the powerboard. This is on hold as I have a massive secret mod which Im working on and hoping will work.

Secret project gona be tested today and if its succesful I may post a POC in the weekend.

I got the analog working btw, it had one faulty pot so I replaced that with a aftermarket one and it works like a dream

How is this "secret mod" activated? Tactile switch, or just on/off switch and trigger presses?
Because if it is the first, I already posted a POC for a different method with a PIC.
And if it is neither, then ignore this.
