OK i need to down size my laptop lcd but i still need to keep the laptop as a whole ( ofcourse without the old screen ) My current lcd is 12.1" and i have another older laptop with a 7" screen. How could i change these over? I know i need a controller for the 7" screen so that it works as a monitor, can i just use the controller thats on the 7" lcd's laptop, connect some wires and connect it to the vga output port on the 12.1" lcds laptop??? And if i can, where do i get the information about the pinouts for the 7" lcd controller, can i jsut google the model number of the laptop followed by lcd controller pinouts or do i need to go to the manufacturer and ask them for it? any help willl do, cheers
