Questions / Issues.
« on: December 28, 2008, 06:01:16 AM »
I've been trying to get the dual nub to work for some time but there always seems to be a problem. I have soldered everything correctly and is working flawlessly, the issue i am having is with the spring. I have tinned the pads on the Razor X quite a bit and well when i put it all together with the spring and the top half to the nub, it never works. Sometimes the X works, sometimes it doesnt. The triangle didn't work despite the fact that i had tested it before putting it together and it was working. Sometimes it doesn't self centre properly, it gets stuck and i have to move it to the middle myself, i'm thinking it may be that my tinning is uneven or i have tinned it too much/ too little? I'm not sure,  I am getting bit frustrated as the problem is never constant on just one button, it always varies and i'm not sure why.

Thanks.

It's the mechanical nature of the spring and the way it is flexed towards sets of contacts.

I'll get some pictures soon. But i'm wondering, which technique would i use to adjust the spring and such, the one which Arioch_76 does where he prepares the spring before hand or the method in which you would assemble a normal anaglogue stick where you have to move it about to get it to adjust itself? or can any be used?
