I don't know if the fat can support a mic. If it can, I'd like to know too. That would be sick to Socom and stuff. As well as go messanger.

Did you find out what pins are for the mic, or are those pics just to show the placement of the mic?

Looks like the mic is in there nice and clean.

sorry i guess i should have stated that i still do not know what pins to use.. and that these are just pictures of the placement of the mic.

and i got it so clean because there was a little rubber sleeve around the mic when i took it apart. so i drilled the hole to the sleeve and put the mic in. after that i trimmed the sleeve to be flush with the body of the psp. once i get this to work i will list parts and what not so you guys can try it too :D

oh i guess you lack knowledge. Doesn't matter where you get your pictures... Just type

[ img width = 500 ] *insert picture here* [ /img ]

And remove all spaces except for the one between img and width.

Good job. I guess you have no means of testing it though because your PSP is still bricked?

It should. The only way to be sure though is to open it up and see.

I would try to find the smallest mic I could. Then you could make it all internal instead of having it stick out.

thats what im saying about the DS mic, its pretty small and, its made of rubber which can be pressed almost completely flat. I was thinking of using that, and carefully drill out one of the "speaker holes" on the faceplate and make it fit behind there, so it just looks like one of the speaker holes on the bottom of the PSP, but its a mic.

The DS microphone is just enclosed in rubber, to stop vibrations I think and for sturdyness

Also is that diagram work? If it does I might do it, I have a few broken phone microphones laying around

Yeah i think the highest that works is 4. Id just go buy a cheap 1gb at walmart or somthing if i was you.  If you had to rate this on a scale from 1 to 10 fir difficulty, where would you put it? From looking at it, id say about a 3-4. I havent taken my psp apart any farther than the mobo before. i had to take it out to do the usb charge.

well gtting the wire solder and the iron in that corner (with out burning your hands/melting the wire) is a big pain in the :censored: and now i dont know what is wrong with it.. its like the mic is drawing more than 5 volts.. i think the mic needs a some resistors and a capacitor.. (like it had in headset form)
EDIT: i would give it like a 4-5
