Windows 7 will also get a public beta, starting January 9, so consumers will be able to try out the new operating system -- this a first for any Microsoft OS.
I herd you like stealing quotes ey?
Oh my god it was only a minute after I made this that you posted.Geez that was fast...
Woo hoo! This even overshadows the fact that me and a few friends actually convinced someone to rm -rf /To think that 2 great computing related things have happened in one day, makes me almost cry.*waits for Apple fans*
61 seconds*, just since i logged on and i saw that.anyone know the requirements for this?
Yeah, 'bout half Vista needs. Seriouslyy.I've got my beta build I got running INSIDE VMWare on my ubuntu partition.Only 1gb of RAM suppplied to it. Boots fast and is super quick......and that's inside of another OS.
Currently I dual boot Vista and Ubuntu, But I use VMware to mess around with other OS's
what is that command Im not doing that
don't do that command if your running an os which does runs unix commands. Most probably your install is protected from it unless you disable it. I think Ubuntu does because its whole aim is easy computing which your grandparent's shouldn't easily break.
would it break os x leapord
Probably not, does OSX run UNIX commands?
Not sure about the newest OSX, but I know OSX is Unix based. At least, I'm 99% sure.
I wanna see just how close they mimick the vista. It seemed most of vista's problems spawned fromtrying to prevent piracy. Should be interesting.
where exactly do you dl the beta at I searched on microsofts website, but couldnt find it. Ima search some more but if someone can put up a link to the dl thatd be great. Or do I have to be registered for something?
