oh and i used the right resistor i made sure also even the machine guns fire slow lol.
EDIT: well now im down to using a 10k resistor XD i was just thinking about bridging the 2 points together    its still going sorta slow but better then before when i fire a fully automatic gun the rate of fire is slow if i use the regular r1 it will fire faster then using the rapid fire button.

ok well i just reinstalled it and online the first clip i unload works but then after that it would go slow i think i might need to use a bigger resistor.

just a quick question socom, Are you testing your mod with cod5? if so, your timing is too fast.

if not, and this is happening on say cod4, its not a bigger resistor you need, its a bigger capasitor, you are depleting all the juice from the 555 during the first clip. I delt with this issue on the xbox.

it might be possible your using the wrong type of 555 timer. it should be a Low Power - 555 timer.

no, socom, the reason I asked that question is because your mod is working correctly. cod5 has a cap built into the game that restricts your fire rate after the first clip if it is expended too quickly. that is made into the game. the fastes fire rate allowable is 8.33, GBlaster, where is this 555? what is your resistance between opin two and seven?

R2 is currently set at 56k ohms (about 11 shots per second). If the rate limit works the way you say it does then you can change R2 to 82k ohms which will give you about 8.2 shots per second.

I've never had any problems with the 11 shots per second though with call of duty 5 when I owned the game. (Note: I got it after the limit patch)

hey gblaster,
Just took my ds3 controller to a friend's house with cod5.  the ds3 has the 56k ohm and works fine with cod4.
I took it to his house to test it with cod5 as I don't have it.

He says that it works for the first clip but will not after that.
you would have to wait till the next board/round to be able to use it again (first clip).

I guess I'll have to start using the 82k ohm resistors from now on.
