Yup that's what I like about a drill press. Modding with a hand drill is just too finicky.
Yeah I use a dremmel.Cut out the center, than use a sanding bit to sand it down.The way that I found the best was to take a cutting wheel and cut out the center, than take the sanding bit (the one I use is rubber with replaceable sanding rings) at a a low-ish speed (1 - 3) to take off the main plastic chunks, then speed it up (about 3 - 5) and take it easy when cleaning it up. Works like a charm for me.And also, for sanding, I hold the dremmel between my legs while sitting, and carefully move the door with my hands.
Probably personal preference though.
Well it's not insanely loose yet, but I'm not sure if I should keep sanding. Do your doors have a slight curve to it?
