I'm confused,I went into a Starbucks in Dublin a few hours ago and asked for a large normal coffee,black as tar,no milk,7 sugars,the woman at the counter had no idea what I was talking about.There was all this stupid crap on the board saying "Venti" and other illegible nonsense,so I put it simply : "the largest cup you got",she said "you mean a venti?" and I was like "I SAID the largest cup you got".She then proceeded to ask me "Decaff?Cream?Froth?Chocolate powder?Marshmallows?",so I shouted "I JUST WANT COFFEE,JUST PUT SOME STRONG INSTANT COFFEE,IN A LARGE CUP,AND PUT SOME HOT WATER AND 7 SUGARS IN THERE,NO FROTH,NO CREAM,NO MILK,NO CHOCOLATE

,NO MARSHMALLOWS AND I PREFER TO KEEP THE CAFFEINE IN MY COFFEE!!!",
She then called security and I got thrown out.

Could someone please translate "Large,strong,black coffee with 7 sugars" into whatever language they speak in Starbucks (it barely deserves a capital letter)?

I can't go into a Starbucks and order normally so I've memorized what I need to say and I only get this one thing:

Grande caramel Frap no whip cream (Medium caramel frappucino without whipped cream)

Sorry mate I have no idea how to order anything else. =/

lol @bud, as soon as i saw the title i was thinking of foamy, especially that one. i personally refuse to drink at star*ucks based mostly on the fact that they try and trick you and steal your money. and i dont drink coffee, mt dew ftw

Venti is Italian for 20. So They named there 20 ounce cups Venti. 20. ounce. Large. for

sake. Tall is a Large, Grande is large, Venti = 20 for 20 Ounces.

I've never had a problem ordering in simple terms at any food/coffee place. I guess there's always those certain stores who "outdo themselves" so to speak. I do hate people like that. :censored:s. xD

Seriously, starbucks is a failing business. They fail in everyway, and I cant even believe that AM's international community even frequents an establishment like that. I mean you have to be a dumbass american to pay $4 for a freakin coffee right?

Starbucks deserves to fail, the only reason they made it this far is that the economy was right at the time, and now look at them.

stick with local coffee shops and leave the starbucks for prentensious jerks that think that it is ok to pay $4 for a cup of coffee that cost $0.25 to make. [/rant]

Prediction: Starbucks wont be around in 5 years.

I would rather see people get there coffee at mcdonalds or a gas station, at least they are fairly priced. Do you think starbucks pays the farmers 8X market price for their beans? nope so what makes em think they deserve 8X market price for brewing it?

Pretty sad tho, that a pretentious company like starbucks has already damaged the industry so badly.

Mcdonalds coffee is top notch. the coffee is newman's own green mountain coffee roasters which is roasted in the town I live in. If you want to see a comapany with a conscience (for the most part) check out green mountain coffee roasters, they have done some good business and pay farmers what they deserve.

I dont know about McCafes, thats for cheerleaders

As a general rule Mcdonalds usually is very high quality food (with acception to meat). they have to cuz if the food was same quality as burger of chicken that place would never have made it.

... Don't get me wrong though, if I'm out and about, I DO stop at Dunkin' Doughnuts, Mcdonalds (the regular coffee is awesome), or anywhere that sells Karibou... But NEVER Starbucks...

plus i know this dosnt fit but heads up
latly the price of high dollar meat went up
and the higher dollar mexican food joints switched their meat to lower quality meat
so now the higher dollar meat is cheaper and more local lower classed mexican food joints bought alot of higher dollar prime meat so now their fajitas are the shiz
