Are you trying to use the new HDD in your 360?
you can also use xport to make an image, then simply recover the image on your new drive.
...why else would I need to backup a current hdd onto a new 360 hdd? Will all of this work if I'm going from 20gb to 120gb? Or should I just copy everything and then copy it onto the new hdd one by one without preserving partitions?

NO do not use the image backup you are going from a 20gb to any size other than a 20gb. The image takes the hddss.bin with it and will make your 120gb read as a 20gb.Your better off just taking the individual files.
xport is my friend LOLmakes it all so easy
40_ounce, omg stop posting. I'm using a god damn official drive. I NEVER SAID IT WAS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF DRIVE.I said I was going from 20gb to 120gb. And, I quote:360 drive. Read before posting please. That's what I thought. Hm. Alright thanks again, scott. You're really on top of the ball, here. I like it. I planned on using Xplorer360 like I did to modify my saves. How good is xport?I won't be doing this right away, but soon.
