t0pFire 2.0 Revision 3: OLD VERSION
topfire matrix test 2.MOV

SUPPORTED CONTROLLERS:
CG - Tested/Working!
CG2 - Tested/Working!
Matrix - Tested/Working!

HOW TO USE:
When the controller is powered on.. Both rapidfire triggers will be OFF.

To turn on/off either of the rapidfire just give either tactile a quick press..the corresponding LED indicator will light up.. indicating that rapidfire is on.

To change mode of the rapid fire on the LEFT trigger hold the LEFT tactile for around 3 seconds then let go... and ONE led will flash.. count the flashes to see what number mode your in.
To change mode of the rapid fire on the RIGHT trigger hold the RIGHT tactile for around 3 seconds then let go... and ONE led will flash.. count the flashes to see what number mode your in.

Custom Programming:
Custom programming allows you to set your own rapid fire speed.. To enter the custom programming mode.. simply hold either the LEFT tactle or the RIGHT tactile.. If you hold the LEFT tactile it will put you into custom programming for the LEFT trigger.. Bother triggers have a diffrent custom speed.. so you can set a custom speed on either trigger.. Same with the right trigger..

Ok so to enter custom programming hold either the LEFT tactile or the RIGHT tactile untill both LED's begin to flash! (takes around 5 seconds)
Once you see the leds flash.. make sure you let go of the buttons..after the leds flash 3 times.. you will be in custom programming mode.

Now custom programing is simple.. If this is your first time custom programming.. then it will be set to '60' this means 60 milliseconds.. Else it will be set to your last programmed speed!. This is how long the trigger will STAY RELEASED for... So making this value smaller will speed up the rapid fire.. And making it bigger will slow down the rapid fire. of its set too low.. then rapid fire wont work. You can use the LEFT tactile to make the rapid fire faster by 5millseconds. And you use the RIGHT tactile to add 5millseconds to the trigger RELEASE time.. Thus making it slower rapidfire! Once you have programmed your speeds.. Hold both the tactiles down until BOTH leds begin to flash.. Once they begin to flash LET go of the tactiles!

Your custom speed will now automatically be saved.. And your custom speed will now be in mode 8. So now you can switch to mode 13..But you maybe thinking.. thats gona take a while to keep switching modes till 8.. Well not really! After exiting programming mode..The mode for that trigger will be automatically set to the custom speed mode(mode 8). So to quick switch to the custom speed mode 8.. just enter programming mode then exit it again. Simple!

MODES
Mode 1: Normal RapidFire - Slow
Mode 2: Normal RapidFire - Medium
Mode 3: Normal RapidFire - Fast
Mode 4: Normal RapidFire - COD5 PATCH KILLER
Mode 5: Automatic Burst - FOR AUTOMATIC GUNS. KEEPS THEM ACCURATE
Mode 6: 3 Shot Burst - 3 Shot Burst Tested on COD MW2
Mode 7: 5 Shot-Burst - 5 Shot Burst Tested on COD MW2
Mode 8: USER PROGRAMMABLE MODE - Program your own custom speed!! If the modes arent fast enough or slow enough for you! Use this
NOTE: Burst modes are going to be updated soon.. This means they will be 1 trigger pull = 3/5 shot bursts.. Then they need the trigger released. Instead of constant delayed 3-5 shot bursts.

No this chip isnt already in the controller. Its a controller modification, Depending where your from theres tons of electroical component stores.. by favourite is farnell.com.

To program my code to a blank chip you need a programmer that supports this pic. (12f683). You can buy these from tons of places online, i would buy one from ebay.. your get a cheap one on there.

Seriously.. If you dont know anything about programming, coding.. then dont even attempt to code anything yourself right now.

glad to hear this defently works on cod5 as i never tested cod5 during the beta tests for it.

as some of you know i was testing this for t0p. and 1 thing i noticed is on gears of war 2 is the rate of fire mode 4 offers with the hand gun. i've tried most of the rapid fire codes out there and i've never fired this fast and smooth on GOW2 (mode 3 is better for the hammer burst)

top fire mode 4 GOW2.MOV

but as you can see from the vid mode 4 with the hand gun is crazy fast!!!

hello, great work this is probably the best opensource out there. I have a question about the burst, is it like the m16 you just hit the trigger and it will fire 3 shots automatically or is it if you release the trigger early it won't fire all 3 shots. Also it looks like for Mw2 you've got some pretty good speeds do you have added jitter? If not what speed are you using? great project.

Thanks! Appriciate the replys.

When ever you release the trigger the burst will stop, even half way through. This is because the way the code is designed, The signal is always active but only registers when trigger is pulled.

Huh? The code is sleeper. Theres no extra tactiles for rapidfire.

The two tactiles are just for mode changing and quick on/off. You press either tactile to turn rapidfire on or off on that trigger.. or hold tactile to change modes.

Once rapidfire is on, Pull either trigger for rapidfire.

I think he means sleeper as in using the sync button, like hazers gameplayrf was never really called a sleeper code.

You could wire one of the leads to down on the d-pad (preferably the right) because it really isnt used and you have to hold it for 4 seconds so you wont accidentally change modes.

Sleeper rapidfire normally means that the rapidfire uses the triggers. Not external tactiles.

Post Merge: January 14, 2010, 04:57:05 PM
Sorry if i misused the term sleeper rapidfire. If you want a stealth rapidfire controller. As long as you use the CG controller you can connect the 2 tactiles to the dpad or any other button on the controller.

Why don't you use the bumper buttons for the tackle buttons? and Can you do a burnmeup2 type version that is sheath and uses the SYNC button  to change modes? If you want to set the it in the fire rate then just hold it down for 4 seconds to put it in program mode:)

when this rapid fire was being designed we discussed the complete stealth option.. but in our opinions we decide haveing 2 tactiles was better and more functional....

say if you bought a aftermarket rapid fire pad it would have extra buttons...

so y not have extra buttons on a rapid fire code....

the 2 buttons mean you can have completely independent triggers...... ie one trigger can bet set on a custom speed and the other can be on mode 3 they both can be turned off in dependtly.

in my view this is probilly the best opensource rapidfire code out there... and its still a work in progress. i imagine t0pp8uzz will be updating it in the future.

i imagine you can wire this so it is a stealth install on a cg pad type  but by doing that u'll be removing some of the fuction of the code

spurgurgle i agree with the stealth ability
i mainly would like a code that can go stealth, and i dont need both triggers just one as i usually only play COD and the left trigger is unused.
but i wouldnt know how to wire it to the Sync button's uses with the codes current settings as if you hold down the sync button to connect to the xbox, then you'll enter the custom mode which could get a little confusing....

any ideas?

well to do a stealth install of this u could wire the right tactile to the sycn button.... and u still need the left tactile aswell to change speed with.... but you could add that onto your d-pad or as you play cod and the d-pad doesnt do much ... also this would have to be a cg pad u do this on.. if you would like i can make a picture showing you where to connect the 2 tactiles to...
also if you dont wanty the left trigger at all just leave it off...... i think... it wont effect the rf...

Great code, i tested on all games and works great except for halo 3.  Seems to want to shoot by itself when i enter games.  I tested using cg and matrix.  Matrix controller is flawless, but cg has some issues. Maybe needs different resistors??

you dont need any resistors... on a cg install apart from the 100ohm's to the leds and these have nothing to do with the rapid fire they just resistor down the power to the leds..

hmmm its a odd issue ur aving there.. i would test it out on my cg t0pfire pad. but i ripped it apart after i did the install tut so i've only got it on a matirx pad at the mo... im pretty sure t0p himself has this on a cg pad so maybe he can test it out for ya and see if he can find the issue.... may i askwhat mode is this happening on or is it on all modes....
