[PC][DubbleDutch] Logitech g15v2Vintage [Finished]

so as you guys could read i won't be able to finish my other project [The bad G5]

but offcourse a modder will never stop modding untill he is satisfied
and yes i've got something else i want to do

i know there isnt a lot of time left, so i hope i will get this one finished before the end of the mod-off

anyway what i'm going to do is this:
i've got a logitech g15v2 laying here (already modded to green etc..) but for some weird reason (most of the screens get broken) my screen is broken
and i had a iphone dock laying here,...

broken screen,.. can't use the screen buttons anymore because i don't see what i'm doing

whait let's combine those two
brokenscreeniphonedock,... nah what about a iphonedock built into the keyboard without the broken screen :P that sounds a lot better


so here's the plan,
-get rid of the screen
-make the dock nice and flush with the keyboard
-get rid of the green sticker
-paint the keyboard white
-make sure everything works
-make the keys light up white instead of green

well that's it i guess

i've gotten further then the pics show but i didnt take pics yet so update is coming !

Today i will be using the pot that you see in the pictures it's filler so i can make everything fit perfectly

and then when it is dry i will start painting it and be ready just in time before the mod-off ends

oh and i changed the looks a little (A) it became a more vintage look

so the end product is different than planned :P
but that's the way a modder lives

this is what i ended up with

-Black keyboard with white upper layer
-Green flashing leds behind the keys (i found a old pcb which was in a toy, a scary halloween toy thing that made the leds flash on once in a while, a simple change of + and - made it turn the leds of once in a while
which resulted in a nice vintage look on the leds
-all the white parts have been painted with a primer, and then with white. after that i sanded them, then primer again, some more sanding, more white paint, and more sanding. which resulted in this
-ipod dock is still in place instead of the screen
