very crude drawing but yea thats a great way to do it . then all you should need is a 1k resistor to protect your LEDs. make sure you check your numbers before you wire anything though. don't just go off of what i tell you before double checking your math. it doesn't matter how you do it adding wires to the inside of your xbox incorrectly can cause fires or electrical arcs that could be dangerous. make sure that no matter how you decide to wire it up you do your math for circuits and be thoroughly neat about how you place your wires.
the last thing we want is for a modder to have to dig through their sealing to get to the rest of his/her belongings, or worse.
