what are the details on your LED packages? thats the most important part of answering your question.

im not really good at finding out how much leds you can put i had 6 blue 5mm leds running on a 12v source 2v each led but didint know if it was right

are they 3.6v LEDs? because if they are you will not be able to wire them in a series  and you will have to wire them in a parallel which will need a hefty resistor to keep them working.

so your package does not give the voltage requirement? pretty much you won't be able to light your LEDs without the minimum required amount of power, your xbox uses a power source at 12v and if they are 3.6v minimum you will need to wire them in a parallel to have the power for all of them. you will have to use a resistor to keep them from overheating and failing. this could be dangerous if you do it wrong.

here is a link to help you in finding what kind of resistor you should use.

i would keep it simple and use the fan headers 5v power source, here is a quick little picture i drew up

very crude drawing but yea thats a great way to do it :hifive:. then all you should need is a 1k resistor to protect your LEDs. make sure you check your numbers before you wire anything though. don't just go off of what i tell you before double checking your math. it doesn't matter how you do it adding wires to the inside of your xbox incorrectly can cause fires or electrical arcs that could be dangerous. make sure that no matter how you decide to wire it up you do your math for circuits and be thoroughly neat about how you place your wires.

the last thing we want is for a modder to have to dig through their sealing to get to the rest of his/her belongings, or worse.

well im in the same boat, Here are some specifications.
Emitted Colour : Red
Size (mm) : 5mm
Lens Colour : Water Clear
Forward Voltage (V) : 3.2 ~ 3.4
Reverse Current (uA) : <=30
Luminous Intensity Typ Iv (mcd) : 15000 ~ 17000
Life Rating : 100,000 Hours
Viewing Angle : 20 ~ 25 Degree
Absolute Maximum Ratings (Ta=25°C)
Max Power Dissipation : 70mw
Max Continuous Forward Current : 20mA
Max Peak Forward Current : 75mA
Reverse Voltage : 5V
Lead Soldering Temperature : 240°C (<5Sec)
Operating Temperature Range : -25°C ~ +85°C
Preservative Temperature Range : -30°C ~ +100°C
Red ,Yellow (Amber) : 1.8 ~ 2.1
White ,Green ,Blue  : 2.4 ~ 3.4

How many milliamps would be a good current for the leds to run in that circuit?(the diagram) That way I can choose a resistor.

well having LEDs with different values makes yours much more complicated. you will need to wire them separately from each other with their own circuits. just use the calculator i posted a link for and you will be able to find out easily what you should use.

no you will want to make a parallel circuit, that is a series.
