0102 erroe code fix ??

i just bought a xbox and it has this error coode anybody know how to fix?

This is one of the most common error codes, xclamp fix or reflow...

VERY COMMON INDEED.  this is the rrod code you want.  ive had others like 0110 ram and 0020 and have had trouble with them.  with 0102, you just want to reflow the gpu.  if its sealed, send it in, if not i recommend getting it reballed with leaded solder. this will ensure a better connection.

i just fixed it .. lol it was preaty easy all i did wwas take out th gpu heat sync and overheat it a couple of times and now it works but the only problem is that i need to buy thermal paste i cleaned the gpu and heat sync and put them together and it powered on. yay me ima get the paste and it will be good as new.

now the firmware was like 6... something i updated by mistake and i cant jtag now that kinda sucks but my xbox is working now  :tup:

check your firmware again. if its 6xxx Firmware... it is JTAG-able... please check again :beg:

 just because it updates doesn't mean crap. you may never really know until you see for sure.

Alright guys well. Had the error 0102 code and couldint find a way to fix but I di alittle something totry and it worked for me and its runnin nice on it like 5th day so far no frezzes or nothing.

First I took the gpu heat sync out and cleaned all the paste off
Then I turned it on like 10 times with out the heat sync to get itnice and hot
Put the heat sync on and without the paste on use a hair drier and put it on heat and on high and keep it on the heat sync for a few like 15 min
Let it cool down and check it

It worked for me

I agree with FOOKz on this one. its ok to do this stuff to your own box but I refer everyone to a friend who has the proper re-flow gear.
