I look at a reflow as a last resort to anything. Just not sure how a fall can cause solder cracks.
It wont red ring, and I don't know why it does that , but usually when it starts to do this it the GPU and that is what needs to be done like i explained in the first reply... let me know what happens when you do that. if it contuniues you need to reflow the gpu...
why not try and oven bake? seems foolish but ive repaired a few mobo like that just a matter of covering it well with aluminum foil
did you try reflowing the south bridge? Also I like arctic cooling MX-4 over AS5 it keeps temps lower and no curing time, of course you could go all out and get some past with diamond dust in it.
No way lolOf course I did. It's not a matter of overheating; this is all because I dropped it.Anyway,I just took the GPU/SB off and I'm going to reball them. If that doesn't work, I'll reball the RAM/(H)ANA chips and maybe the CPU. God damnit this is annoying.
