Hi, I have a controller mother board that was working fine when I fitted some white rol in it, but all of a sudden the controller won't work, why?

Looks like you may have damaged a trace or 2 around the P2 led.

It turns out that the battery pack wasn't sitting in properly lol, on my other controller one of the led light have been took off and also the solder that hold the led in has been took off, how to I solder a new led in ?

Solder a jumper to this trace. You need to scrape down to copper and flux well for it to hold.

Is they any videos on this ? I have another controller where both the contact points have gone ... its a CG2 controller.

As Vision has shown in pic how to fix the trace and solder a wire from the trace to the led it self.

Dude, you have to do some of the work for yourself. I know your new here, but we are not here just to hand out the information as you ask. Every post you have made on this forum is a post to request info that is very readily available. I don't know of anyone who has a video camera capable of taking a video with high enough resolution to capture what your asking.

what you need to do is to "repair a broken trace" so you need to find the "wireless CG2 traces" the search function works very well for those terms.

also the traces were done by SDC and are pinned to the top threads in the controller section. you may also want to check out the "helpful links" thread in that same section.

I jus need to know where to solder the top of the LED because I can't find a trace on here any where

Are you :censored:ing kidding me? Its only the third post down on the controller page. The title is "CG2 controller traces" the top of the player one LED is Ground... If you cant figure out where ground goes, you may want to join this site: http://www.thetechgame.com/

matt i love this... any who to the OP... these guys on this site are very helpful... but dont take advantage of their kindness... i have come close to doing this several times and when i joined this site i was a :censored:y mofo... but as matt said to get a video of what you want requires a HIGH resolution cam that most people dont have, i have such a camera but it cost me 1500.00 and i use it for photography... to repair a trace, use the layout vision has provided.... get urself some thin wire and tin it... using a x-acto, scrape the trace til u see copper (be careful not to cut the trace tho) use some flux (that is ur best friend) lay the tinned wire along the trace and solder it to the trace, now add the led to the other end and voila u have a new contact point for ur led... play w/ the length of the wire to get the led to sit in the right location.

But matt's right man, start making some post of something other than questions man. Good luck.

On the picture you have marked out in black the ground on all 4 L.E.D's ... what I am saying is that on the player ONE led the TWO "-" and "+" contact points have came off so i cannot solder onto "ground" they is nothing to solder to ...

here's a quick fact.... the negative (-) can ground onto most any if not any ground on the board... so ground it to another led's ground... its the positive u have to worry about man. the reason i say tin the wire, it makes it stiff... u shape it and move it where u need it and it will stay... let me see if i can't rig something up real quick to demonstrate this. but let this be ur last hand holding post man... it does get old fast. not saying dont ask questions... just be smart about what u ask and try and exhaust all ur resources and do some research on ur own... it really does hel when u have something to bring to the table as opposed to hey i need this or i need that, getting an answer and then not knowing what to do w/ ur answer resulting in asking another trivial question... just a suggestion tho

I feel like you are trolling me.

Connect the LED to ANY GROUND POINT, the entire honey comb of the controller is ground.
Connect the led to the TRCE shown for that player LED.
Glue the LED to the board.

All the black is ground.

ANY GROUND WILL WORK... ANYWHERE... EVEN BATTERY TERMINAL GROUND....

I marked all the pos + traces in red. Demon just broke the repair down for you and I drew you a picture. If you still cant figure it out then pm me and I can fix it for 35 plus shipping hahahah

after looking at your pics you are killing that trace. Only scrape a little. Should get to shiney copper and stop!!!

I am trying to be patient. I know how it is being clueless.... On the other hand I found helpful members and used google a LOT. I only used the members when I had info to verify or could legit not find the answer I needed.

same here... i know what its like to be CLUELESS, thts y i helped, but there comes a point where one should be able to put two and two together, however i know what its like trying to fix something and having no idea what to do or how to achieve it, which again, is why i posted pics on what to do
