DualSense 5 Bluetooth/Antenna. Any way to hardware disable?
« on: November 29, 2022, 11:42:50 PM »
I'm trying to mod the controller for a specific wired-only purpose. So far I've managed to remove the battery and bypass it entirely by soldering the pin for the white sense wire to the pin for the red positive wire. This allows the controller to power on properly when plugged in without a battery. (As far as I can tell this is not documented online)

I'm also looking to permanently disable the Bluetooth functionality of the controller. I noticed the solder jumper pads in the top left of Side B of the board. They look like they are connected to an antenna, but after desoldering the jumper, nothing has changed with the controller's functionality.

Any idea for another approach to permanently disable Bluetooth?
