cyber - Can you read or do you have problems in that area?

Serious question, I ask because there always seems to be a huge difference between the Q and your A.

And by the looks of the ribbon connector he may have to use the tracers on the power switch board because of the lack of space to solder

Ah - That explains it.

What's the point in having dual monitors if you are only paying half the attention?

Its a bit tricky but has to be done. The dpad is more dificult as its just as small but theres 4 points close together. But if I can do it other people will be able to too.

Ok the socket is compleatly rewired and I've added some LEDs to the controller. All my stuff from cyber arived (thanks man, you rule). So I should be able to finish this by tomorow night. I am swaping all the LEDs for white ones at the mo (thanks for the tut new-Neubit-).

Heres a pic of how the controller looks now.

Looking good, just picked up a ceramic PS2 controller:

Goes nicely with my PSP ;)

Need to find a cheap 2nd hand 1.50 (or downgradeable) PSP in the UK now to experiment with. Anyone know where to pick one up for less than a ton?

F00 - You got any pics of the socket yet? Also, how have you interfaced to the PSP?

The biggest problem I'm having at the moment is thinking of how to make the finish look retail - Going to look at alternate methods of connection as I'm still positive that the PSP will be using a signal decoding method that is similar to the PS1/2.

This would cut down on the wires as point to point won't be needed, just controller chip to controller chip.
