there every one happy there is the wiring Digrams for one or 2 swtichs
This works on both Type of Controller Old and New Style Wireless no resister needed
I tested on both wireless so please test it on wire one and let me know.

Please everyone respect the people who made this code if you plan on selling it to your buddy be resonable $7~$8 not $30 as rapid fire on the 360 is so simple it does not justify gouging people....

Thanks man! Do you need resistors or only microchip and wire? For USA ppl here you can buy the pic12f863 :

halo 3 only lets you fire so fast because ist coded into the game, and only certain guns work with rapidfire.

Is the 2 switches for rapid fire on two triggers? The wire goes from the chip to each switch and the middle pin of both triggers? Mind me for asking, but what's the hex if we want to switch from off to single rapid fire to dual rapid fire through the triggers? You'd cycle through the options by using a momentary tact switch.

sure you didn't confuse pin 1 with pin 8? its very easy to get them confused when its in "dead bug" position, as in upside down. i should know, happened to me

ive just tried again same results so i swaped pins 1 and 8 over and put pin 5 on the other side then it shoots 1 shot and keeps jumping towards 4 o'clock untill i press RT them it rapid fires

any ideas?

i tested this code on both type of Wireless controller old and new the video is a old style controller with 2 switch ... the key word is wireless i don't like wire controllers and will not buy one now you can send me one to get it to work, sure.

but i think the 5v on wire controller may be too much .. should put a 100K on a power and sould work

Quote

Try putting a 100k radio shack part # 271-1347.  also the rapid fire should only fire when the switch is press not the trigger. the switch don't turn the mod on/off.

well the sparkfun programmer, the white thing is power i think and the metle thing is to hook up to a moniter i think? lol

Caution: The programmer may not work with low power serial interfaces - i.e. laptop or notebook serial ports. USB to serial cables have also not been proven to work.

Quick question on this. Say I wanted to have 2 separate buttons, one for each trigger. I see you have a wire going from pin 5 to the button and then a wire from the other side of the button to the middle pin for the Right trigger. Would it be at all possible to wire two wires from the pin 5 and have the second wire go to a button on the left with a wire coming from the left button to the Left trigger middle point? Would that work or would it just cause the right button to fire? Let me know as I'm about to pursue the install. Thanks

That's what it shows in the diagram.
Power pin 1, ground pin 8, then pin 5 sends a constant rapid signal.
You could probably hook up any button on the controller to pin 5 for rapid fire.
I really wish spitfire worked, it would be even more cool to use the switch to enable burst, full auto, or off.

Right, but what I want to know is if I could have both right and left triggers function as rapid fire through two different R and L buttons attached to the controller. I want 2 outputs to come from pin 5 to go to 2 different triggers. The way he has done it in his video is that the two buttons both fire the right trigger.

I didn't even notice.
I have two switched connected to pin 5.
Each switch goes to a different middle pin.
Works great.

Title: Re: 12F683 HEX

Something is goofy.
I have power on pin 1, Ground on pin 8, and two switches connected to pin 5.
The other side of each switch is connected to the middle pin from the triggers; left switch on left trigger, right switch on right trigger.
The right trigger works dandy.
The left trigger seems to do a number of things. Fire the right trigger, fire the left trigger, and possibly D pad down.

Do I have a short somewhere?
Title: Re: 12F683 HEX
Post by: KingMike_OS on August 01, 2008, 11:31:39 PM
you can't wire any thing to left trigger this code only work on once side trigger right only

to have 2 switches install them bot to the right side like the frist switch and you have rapid

Fire on both switches.

I don't know where you got left trigger as i show in the digrams there is nothing hook up to it.

You need a full 9 pin straight through cable. Some cheap RS232 cables only have 3 pins connected from end to end.

Use 1000 times rapidfire,
download file 1000 times,
install it on max. 1000 pic's?
or something else¿¿¿¿

It means 1000 times you can use rapidfire - The limit is only on the free downloadable hex, the PIC's on "wiredinput" (shop) Have no limit.

Right. So people using this free hex would be better off installing a socket in their controller. Or better yet, just buy your pics from WiredInput. Those guys are great and chips are cheap.

Or just use it to its limit then reprogram it. That's why it's good to have a socket installed. Mike released this code for free, so we don't have the right to complain. Like he said, the reason for the limit on the free code is to keep people from taking his work and making money off it. You can't blame him for that. Obviously people using this code have their own programmers, so reprogramming the chip each time it hits the 1000 use limit would be quite easy.

But people taking this free code and selling controllers with it will run in to problems once they hit their limit.
