U4 has a tendency to fail and is suspect, or any of the traces/components connected to it.

I have an xbox X controller and the small board seems to be defective, I connect the board to the usb and it shows 5 buttons pressed simultaneously

Hello, I have a problem with a BDM-20 motherboard. It doesn't start, nor is it detected. When I plug the cable into it, it makes two orange flashes and that's it, it doesn't detect the cable either: I changed the battery with a new one, checked the input connector if it is firmly attached to the board...has anyone else encountered this problem? thx

I replaced the 3 capacitors and made the bridge in the 2 points that you told me.
The Joystick works excellent

It will work fine with those capacitors missing.

Looks like the plating has been torn out of the holes and the LSX POT is not getting power now, possibly the LSX line isn't connected as well. Install a jumper wire to connect the 2 marked spots together and retest first.

I got a controller from my cousin today and I'm trying to fix it, I've already replaced the part called "A5AE" because it was burnt, but the controller still doesn't work. What else could have been damaged? The controller had this failure after installing freshly charged batteries. I've marked what was burnt in the picture.

Hey all, brief summary:

• controller only charges for ~30 seconds and suddenly stops. Reconnecting the wire gets another 30 secs.
• If connected to the console, controller will charge for ~30 seconds, stop and show "?" in the battery symbol on the console.
• Reports around 2 bars of battery but when connected to PS5 but reading is completely inaccurate
• if the battery dies while playing, the controller won't connect back to the console for a little while

More info, I was repairing drift, ended up disconnecting the wires from the battery pack. I pried open the battery and soldered them back, pic (it?s bad):



It worked at first, but now I'm having the issues listed above.

Everything else works completely fine, But the battery is a huge issue. I was just wondering if anyone knew what was wrong and if there was a possible fix? Or is it possible it's not the battery at all?


As a side question, I'm looking for a replacement battery from the likes of eBay/Marketplace. Lot of people list as new but is there a way to check the actual capacity of a Dualsense battery to know if it's new/good or used/bad?

Sorry to ask but I genuinely have no idea where to go for answers, I tried reddit and was basically told to chuck my battery but I want to know what went wrong.
