Hello everyone! After replacing the left stick, it got stuck in the upper left position.

I noticed that some element is missing here, where I highlighted in red. What is this element?

Now, even when I unsoldered the stick, it still stays in the upper left position. Please tell me what I broke.

Missing part is just a capacitor, that's not needed and isn't causing the issue.

Stuck up/left either both axis lines are shorted to ground, or pulled the plating out of the holes for the voltage to the POTs or pulled the plating out of the holes for the axis.

@kumpll2007  Your problem is also with the mouths because from what I can see they are a little damaged, especially the lower ones, there is definitely something wrong.

Only 2 connectors on the board that size, and only one of them has anything to do with the R1 button. Also, that image was flipped as I did it top down thru the layers, it's fixed now.

Hello!
Our patient BDM-010

Some times ago I've restore lost resitor for reset PULL-UP. And gamepad was repaired

Gamepad works fine a couple years.

Now I've installed hallsensor stick at left and gamepad randomly powered on or not at all :(

It doesn't turn on more often than it turns on.

Is any point near SIE (CPU) where I can test RESET line from reset button?

At upllup resistor I have 1.8V, at other side of it 0.8V

hello, I got a dualsense bdm 030 with a torn USB socket, the solder pads from the left 4, 6, 8 and 9 were torn off. I regenerated 4, 6 and 8 but 9 probably has no signal because I can't see the path anywhere. Generally, the controller turned on until I soldered a new USB socket (compatible with dualsense). Now after connecting the battery or USB cable it blinks orange twice and doesn't turn on, I've already replaced the Dialog system but still the same. Can someone help?

Hi. BDM-040 board, I lost this smd resistor when replacing the analogue joystick, the controller isn't recognised, flashes 3 orange lights and then turns off. What's the value?

After connecting with the battery connected, silence.. the dialog has already been replaced, still the same, different battery, still the same, different cables and also the same. Can someone help?

Resistor is 5.1k

Cap value isn't really critical.

Hello, The touchpad on my BDM040 controller isn't working. Replacing the ribbon cable or even replacing the touchpad doesn't help. Where on the motherboard are the resistor or capacitor for the touchpad and button located? The touchpad LEDs light up, button works but there's no response to touch. Resetting the controller doesn't help.

Looking to save my BDM-020 board  :beg:

* Left stick stuck in this position & L3 button doesn't function when pressed

* Right joystick is fine, nothing wrong on that side.

* Couldn't find any shorts and the points that need 1.8v has them.

* Tried 2 sets of brand new joysticks to rule out any faulty joysticks (all were fine)

Thanks to all who are able to help

I need help with my BDM-020 motherboard. When connected to USB, it blinks orange twice. When I connect the battery, it doesn't blink, and the computer displays an "unknown device" error. I've already replaced the DA9087 chip and the USB port, and it's still the same. Can anyone help? When I connect it with a cable and battery, the DA9087 and the capacitor underneath it heat up. Hello, I have a Dualsense BDM-050R controller. It turns on with the PS button and bluetooth works, everything is fine. It charges on charging station, but not charging via USB and not connecting to PC or PS via USB. Removed logic board, without battery when connecting to PC via USB it has 2 red blinks and that's all. With battery connected nothing happens. The USB port itself is in perfect condition, soldering pins are solid.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Two capacitors on my BDM-010 controller were crushed during a Joystick hot-swappable modification, causing the adaptive triggers on the right side of my controller to completely stop working.

I want to know the capacitance values of these two capacitors so I can replace them and restore my controller to normal operation. (Pictures are here.)

I just replaced my BDM-040 joysticks with Hall effect joysticks. Everything worked perfectly for a while after being reassembled. It went off just when I was done testing and preparing to calibrate, and has been unresponsive since. I have tried different batteries, but still no response. This is my second time working with a DualSense, and I am a YouTube learner with no formal training in electronics. Can anyone help me out? I swear I can follow instructions. I'm very desperate. :beg: :beg:

Just realised that 3 of the resistors under the SIDE B label came off, any solutions? links to buy replacements or alterations that can be made.

@woyeshizuileye - Those Capacitors are just for decoupling on voltage rails. The exact values are not critical.

@KeptWolf769 - Those Resistors are 4.7k, 0402 size. You can get them at places like Digikey, Mouser and the like online.

Haven't traced that circuit out, but looks like it's on one of the mic inputs. Measures as 100pF here, 0201 size, but I doubt it's a Capacitor as the thing is black. Haven't seen any caps yet that weren't tan, brown or gray, so I'd guess it's probably some kind of TVS diode.
