Swap psp 3000 faceplates with slim?
« on: May 02, 2009, 06:31:16 PM »
I know it's a noobish question for a global BUUUUT I need to know.  Can you use the psp 3000 faceplate on a slim?  I just like the new buttons and if the 3000 faceplates fit I'll order one for my psp.

Is there really a difference between 2000 and 3000 buttons? For the faceplate, if it doesn't fit, it would probably be relatively easy to mod the buttons to fit the 2000 faceplate, wouldn't it?

Apart from the homebar buttons, the 3000 buttons are exactly the same as the 2000 ones.

I'd assume you could hack on a 3000 faceplate too, considering someone went and fit a 3000 into a clear case built for a 2000.

There are noticeable changes in the internal construction of the case between the 2, but they're relatively minor.

The faceplates are interchangable. Hell the whole case is, I just put my 2000 into a 3000 case. The only mod that I had to do was on the backplate there were a few nubs that I had to shave off for the motherboard to fit in correctly
