hey I'm new to modding and i was just wondering if someone knows how to merge the sound reactive mod and the hold activated mod?

also i was wondering how could I put umd LEDs in but not sound reactive?

and does doing the hold switch leds mod get rid of "hold" on the psp?

In australia if you know places that carry IC chips then most likely yes. But radio shack has it if that out there.

if you make them activated by the hold switch, then yes, you will lose the hold function.

you can attach them to the wifi switch instead. most people dont use the wifi switch anyway.

in that diagram it has a 191k resistor would a 180k or 200k work just as well

how large can the LEDs get to cos im not very good at soldering so the bigger ther better for me

0603 smd, or 1206 smd, at the maximum.

some people have used 3mm ones, but it requires some work to get them to fit.

thx for the help guys

but i have a extremely bad problem

putting the psp back together and i put it together, it didnt fit so i pulled it apart and tightend it. when i tryed to put the LCD screen in insted of opening the latch it snapped in the middle and it was stuck. now it looks crap and half of the latch is missing . in some places only the solder is were i can connect to the latch

yea the LCD latch had been a bit worn when i brought it
when u do good you feel awesome
when u stuff up you feel like crap

ive been thinking weither to buy a new MoBo $80 AU
or sell the psp parts

i think its weird that this is my first time soldering and thats not what killed it

lol that must be the best attempt at breaking a clip i have seen for a while without completley removing it and the pads, you could just buy one of those connectors and solder it on if you are confident enough they are really cheap on ebay, or buy a new mobo like said. if not then how much would you want for the whole psp in its current state?

youd probably get more money if you sold it in seperate pieces. (ex. wifi/mem board, powerboard, lcd, lcd brace, etc.)

well i would give you $70 AUD for it if the rest of the parts are in mint condish and you would ship it to the UK but if you want to do what reckspurt says then that is fine with me.
