Well I havent been on in ages. My username used to be nielsss but i cant seem to recover it so I had to make a new account anway, heres a new xbox I have been working on. Oh and I know allot people have made better ones but im happy with what i've got/

Done so far;
2 strips of led's (4 LED's on each strip)
Talismoon Fans with 8 blue led's
Full Clear Case including fan tunnel
Clear dvd tray
Blue Ring Of light mod (Very hard to solder :mellow:)
12v Fan mod
Modded controller with LED's and switch

Still to do
Get some XCM Core V2 fans
Add pulse mod
add some switches
Clear HDD case with leds

I have used respectable power sources and did not steal the dvd drive's power =]

Kinda it's a test kit pretty much the same thing minus kernal mode debugging.

Here are some of my First Mods on the Xbox360!

Stage 1 (Console Mod 1)

This was a basic Mod! all i did was change the Center LED inside the ROL and added Whisper Fans with Ultra Bright Blue LEDs! as for the controllers.. all i did was swap out the LEDs for some Blue and UV 0603!! (very basic!)

Stage 2 (Controller Mod 1)
Did not have many Pics of this

was too eager to do Mod the Hell out of the Xbox360!! but it was basic! only the 0603 Leds were changed to UV) See above Pic!!

Stage 3 (Controller Final Mod)

This was the final Mod on the Controller!

And yes it is way to bright to use in everyday gaming!! lol! so now i use one of the basic Modded controllers i have!!
(UV is so much Easyer on the eyes!! lol)

Stage 3 (console)

This was the Final MOD on the Console!! Changed the Case for a Lian-Li XB-01,
Swapped the 120MM fan for one with Leds (swapped connectors!)
Added Cold Cathode Kit (in the Base by the USB ports)

I also Changed my second Xbox360 to the Lian-Li case, But put UV Cold Cathode Kits inside (Temp controlled!!!) The hotter the console, the brighter the CC's Light up!!

Yea, kind of!! I snapped most of the plastic bits out! then dremeled the rest out! yea i used 3mm LEDs, They are perfect for that MOD!!
I did use a Set of 0603's in one of the controller mods i did.. it looked a bit Lop sided as the Leds moved while the glue was setting

so now i just use 3mm's!!
I also have a Controller with 3mm rainbow LEDs (Red Green Blue) with a built in IC.. That looks sweet with 4X Rainbows in the Center X!!

There is only one question i have!!
How do you take pics of LEDs without the Pic being all blury?
I was able to do it on the Xbox360 no problem but with my new cam its a whole new ball game!!
I have tried to take pics all night of my best work but the LEDs are way to bright

it just looks like a blur on my Cam!!
More so on the PSP's i have been Modding!!
managed to put 2 sets of LEDs in the L+R buttons but the cam will only see teh Blue ones..

should have used UV and Green!!! lol!!
Blue is too overpowering for the Cam i think!

So if anyone has any Ideas please let me know!! :P

i JUST noticed that, that xbox is the one i flashed for you. I can tell because of the ripped sticker where the spindle is that you ripped while replacing the laser. haha

Thanks mate!

All i did was remove the Guide button, cut out the bits of plastic from the outer edge (of the inside) of the button put a little hot glue and 4 Rainbow Leds! then wire them up to the Usb 5V(red cable) and Ground (black cable).
As for the IC, its built into the LEDs!! no joke!!

well this xbox had 0020 and it only works for a week at a time so its pretty much in the corner of my room unless i have friends over other than that its got the works bout the only thing i didnt do it throw more leds in the top and rol and i geuss actually put the plexi in

These are some really FRIKKIN cool systems you all have built. I wish I knew how to do all this modding! I can make cuts and put in windows because of my construction experience and plastic model experience, but LED's are out of my league right now. I have the steady hands, but not the know how. I do have two xbox's. one of which I want to leave completely stock, the other I want to mod.

hi guys, i've bin doing a few mod's on mine and a friends consols and got some new batteries in the camera

som yeah here they are

the left 1 is stock middle is half modded and right has colling and LEDs but no window yet, i need some plexy for that

ok so i added newer heat sinks strapped down with x-clamp replacement kit and som extra ones on the ANA chip and that other chip

put in this little blue fan

Made a vent (used the hard drive insert for the mesh)

loaded it with 4 led's

A purple ROL (blue ROD) im going to light the window with purple leds(i think)

hard drive in

yeah thats this console done for now!!

here's my other 1 so far......

this also has newer heat sinks bolted down (no x-clamps) and the extra heat sinks on the ana chip. internal hard drive mod and a extra 60mm fan (was a tight squeeze lol), thats it so far on this box but am planing on red LED's a window and som form of vent for this 1.

this box also had a faulty lazer and RROD when i got my hands on it but i had a newer E74 dead box which had the same dvd drive (so a simple swoop for that fix
and the x-clamp replacement with new heat sinks has seemed to sort the RROD. (lets see how long for)
i also stole the newer box's stock fans, changed the connection (they were quieter)....
