i just wanted to say that it does work if u connect led's to the speaker directly it just has to be a 3.7 volt one .. .. .  i used one of the normal led's from radioshack   here are the specs for it

awdracer2, this is mainly to help you, but it will help alot more, i got this help from deda~ and im passing it on...

Heres where u get power on the motherboard:

now if you cant see, the red circles are negative, they are mainly all the gold parts on the motherboard, and the one place to get power (positive) iis in the top right, with the blue circle (may be hard to see) but its near the arrow that says Power 2.5 Amp

heres a close up of the area to get power, notice the little solder dot, u can solder directly to there!

hope that helps

Does anyone have the wiring diagram/places to solder for the external speaker single channel mod?

Sorry for asking so many questions, but I am really serious about doing this mod. The blue is - and red is + for two diff channels right? I only need to connect one red and one blue?

Could someone repost the single channel diagram?

Well, after asking what I should do with some new sample SMT ICs I received,
https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=4928.0
Cyber asked me if I could get SMT Audio Amp ICs, and after some searching, I believe I have found what I was looking for.  On order right now I have 3 SMT audio Amp ICs, 2 are stereo, and one is the smaller SMT version of the LM386 IC, so once they are shipped I will start figuring out the exact setup to use to accomplish the sound mod with these ICs.  I also recieved some samples of OP AMPs(These arer even smaller than the ones in the thread above) but apon a second look at their Data Sheets I am not too sure they will work

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZQY5bTK_57A
I'm going to add another LED, but should I wire it in series or parallel? I don't have the wiring diagram...
I am also not sure about adding more LED's, because I kinda want to add more, but I'm not sure about the whole brightness issue...

OK, got my Audio Amps in today, now I can show you all what I'm working with...
First a comparison with the standard LM386 and the SMT LM386

And this one is the SMT Stereo Audio Amp(It's the same size as the SMT LM386)

This weekend I will sit down and get the stereo amp working...
