i can get smd audio amplifiers (like the ones t3kn1k4l was showing) for about 22 cents each, not entirely sure if they are correct

Heres the info for them:
"Low Power Dual Operational Amplifiers
8 Pin Surface Mount

DESCRIPTION:
The LM2904 consists of two independent high gaininternally frequency-compensated operational amplifiers internallyfrequency-compensated operational amplifiers designed specificallyto operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages.Operation from dual power supplies is also possible and the lowpower supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of thepower supply voltage.

UNIQUE FEATURES:
In the linear mode the input common-mode voltage range includesground and the output voltage can also swing to includes groundand the output voltage can also swing to ground even thoughoperated from only a single power supply voltage. The unity gaincross frequency is temperature-compensated. The input bias currentis also temperature-compensated.

Manufactured by: Philips
Part Number: LM2904D

Had this video on my pc for some time, never uploaded it til yesterday... :-)

Shows you can use the LED's directly attached to the speaker.

that video about hooking up the leds direct to the speaker is great. i had tried this mod out and for some reason i cant get the led to pulse, it just stays lit. would i need more resistance? or what am i doing wrong? i do have some SMD leds and a few regular 5mm ones. ill poke around and see what i come up with, but if anyone knows let me know.

nope, no prob with the chip,(did at 1st...lolz) me got 2  psp, one i use the chip and the white one i use direct conection (without the chip) and both works,
note:the one with the chip lights only when theres sound and the one with the direct connection has a dim light and react to the sound,as shown in the clip,
heres the clip(this one with the amp ic)

you can connect almost as many LEDs as you want to the chip. the only reason you would need a second chip would be to arrange the mod in stereo (ie. two LEDs, one in sync with the left stereo channel and one in sync with the right stereo channel). one chip will be fine for both LEDs...

Mine is almost done, but I need to get my LCD connector fixed which means a new one has to be soldered on... I only have one LED on now because one of them fell on the floor ><  and they are impossible to find.

Im about to try this and am wondering if I wire it all up for stereo internal speakers could I then run wires from the Audio Amplifier ICs' input pins to the earphone jack to make it so I get the sound reaction with or with out earphones?
