[TUTORIAL] NEW Dual Nub by K.A.O.(NOOB PROOF) [updated]

ok guys, here you go. i decided to make a new internal dual nub for those of you who are trying to make them. this only shows you how to make the nub. it is 100% working and one of the best ways to make a dual nub for your psp. it is similar to wetfusions dual nub but i am using the track pad on the nub for the wiring

REASONS why its easier and better to make than wetfusions ( NO affence bro your still the reason i made this one!! you started it all! its just my version of your style ):

1) no grinding the nub
2) easier to make
3) no melting of the nub while soldering wires

Difficulty Rating :2.5/5

TOOLS:
-soldering iron and solder
-helper hands (optional)
-kynar wire
-PSP 1000 nub (2000 may work)
-dremel (optional)
-needle
-hot glue gun woth glue sticks

All you for parts is:


step one: get the nub's trace board


step two: grind down the traces as shown in the photo below


step three: put holes on both ends of the black line trace's [ V1]:


[size=8]OR[/size] [ V2 ]

put holes on the sides of the trace






step four: cut a wire about this long and strip the protective coding off as much as shown in the photo


step six: solder the wire through the holes where the old contact points the the nub use to be [ V1 ]



step seven: cut off the wire closest to the end of the coding and solder it through the last hole on the nubs old trace board.



then you must solder a wire to one of the point circled in red. DONT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE OTHER WIRE. THATS A LATER STEP!!


step eight: put a wire through the bottom of one of the trace's and solder the two ends together. repeat this step for the rest of the trace's.




OR [ V2 ]



step nine:THIS PART IS VERY IMPORTANT!!punch two holes on the circle trace where it sticks out


step ten: VERY IMPORTANT ALSO!! next but a wire through the holes to it WRAPS around the trace and TOUCHES IT!! this is your GROUND



step eleven: THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!! you must uses pliers to squeeze the wires and solder as flat as possible.



step twelve: next cut of and smooth out the bottom part of the nub stick that goes inside of the nub.



step thirteen: put together the nub

step fifteen: install it. use the first four steps of my tutorial for the External dual nub for:

and

PSP 2000 ONLY use the first pic/ schematic





step sixteen: grind doen the area where the nub is going to go on your faceplate. make sure you dont grind all the way through it



Install it and put your PSP back together.

Wait on step 8 am i suppose to solder a wire that touches all 4 points?

also where it sais ground if i did this on a psp phat would i put ground to the motherboards ground near speaker area?

on step eight, yes you are suppose to solder a wire to each point. and read step fifteen to install it into a psp phat. ground is on the power board.

yes it will work on a 360 pad.... it will have to be a cg or cg2 mobo.... just like i did it in this thread..... but using this technique to modify the nub instead of wetfusions

if you have the correct pinnout for the nub then yes =]..... the /\, [], O, X buttons i mean
